J. Cannon has had the love of the sound of music from a very tender age of eight, watching his seven uncles performing for talent shows like Tastee Talent Show and winning as well as watching friends and family that have numerous talents in music like producing, singing, and writing. His grandfather also played in church and all that helped to cement the desire to pursue music as an actual career.

 

Influenced by these family and friends, J. Cannon has spent the last 26 years holding true to advice given to him by mentors Oral Shreves and Gyptian, both told him “your a great beat maker you will change life and sound.”

 

His first professional beat making and producing took place in 2009 working with Gyptain , ZJ Liquid, Lutan Fyah, Sizzla, Mr Pepper , Kalado, Iyara, Kqueen , Jodain Pantry, Nymron, Rage, Asaylem, Tarnado,  Famemuss, Major Brandish , Memsey, Rc,poor and Bosey, Frisco Kidd, Black Queen, Lexus, Christina Star, Trinkie Star, Velly, Jordan Mais, Crige Mais, Natural Melody, Santos, Black Rain, Yaba, A Jazzy, Ang.

 

The types of music that J. Cannon records does is Cultural reggea , dancehall , hip hop,  R&B , soul, pop dance , pop, dub step , disco, eletronic , cross over, all genres, but his real mission with the music is to entertain, inspire, and push an artists talent to the next level letting them see their talent in a different light. This is obvious in the material that he makes, inspired by his soul and having the ability to hear sounds in a different way than normal people and can use personal experience and the way that he feel or someone is feeling and putting it in to a beat or project .

 

Being in the music industry and making his mark has gotten him the title “King of the Underground Beat Makers” and several number one songs and seven charted songs .
